Yianni Theodorou, Director and Financial Planner
Yianni is the owner of Logic Wealth Planning and has been an Independent Financial Adviser for over 20 years, fully qualified to Diploma standard.
He is in the industry because he wants to make a difference to people’s lives, by engaging with the client at every step, listening to the client at every stage and delivering more than expected in every way. This was Yianni’s vision when he set up Logic Wealth Planning in 2005, and since then it has continued to provide a pre-eminent service to a growing clientele, resulting in continued business expansion and growth. Most importantly there remains a firm emphasis always on the client and not just simply selling a product.
It’s Yianni’s firm belief that it’s his customer focussed team of staff who happily go the extra mile to give help and advice, together with many very satisfied and appreciative long standing clients, which have together combined to make this a thriving and successful growing business. Yianni and his long term partner have a teenage son, and in his spare time he tries to play golf – the emphasis on the word try ! There is also a rumour he was once a Structural Engineer turned Ballroom Dance Teacher. You can ask him the question personally !
Nathan Lewis, Compliance Director
After many years’ experience in Financial Services, during which time he has played a major role in the growth and expansion of our company, we’d like to like to announce the appointment of Nathan Lewis as a Director of Logic Wealth Planning, becoming the new Compliance Director.
This new responsibility will see Nathan focus on assisting Yianni Theodorou (Logic Wealth Planning’s Managing Director) to implement and enforce values, policies and procedures within the company, to ensure that all aspects of the business operate in full compliance with the laws and regulations which govern the Financial Services industry, as well as upholding professional standards, accepted business practices, and internal standards.
In addition Nathan will also deputise for Yianni in his absence in all operational aspects of the company.
Last, but not least, he will also continue to maintain and develop our strong relationships with our clients and professional connections.
In his free time – and with both his children now at University – Nathan hopes to find more time to improve his golf handicap !
Hazel Welch, Office Manager and PA to Yianni Theodorou
Hazel is Logic Wealth Planning’s Office Manager as well as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director, Yianni Theodorou.
Says Hazel ‘ this is a really busy and varied job and no two days are the same. My remit covers a very wide range of responsibilities, overseeing everything from organising stationery orders to managing payroll and company accounts to keeping the website updated. I also work alongside Yianni managing his busy diary and arranging client appointments, as well as working on longer term projects such as increasing brand awareness, staff development and recruitment. The company has seen extensive growth and expansion during the last few years and it makes it a busy and exciting place to work. We have a great team of people working at Logic and I really enjoy being part of it’
Coming from many years management experience in the Travel industry Hazel sees a very direct link with Financial Planning since both sectors must provide a really First Class Service in order to meet and exceed customer expectations. ‘This commitment forms a key part of Logic Wealth Planning’s core philosophy and ethos, totally underpinning the operation of this business’ says Hazel. ‘In the end this is what our Customers value, appreciate and remember above everything else and I am proud to say that the Client Reviews section of our website shows that we are getting it right’
Hazel comes from Manchester and has an adult daughter. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, gardening and candle making, finding they are all creative and relaxing.
David Curley, Financial Life Planner
David has been an Independent Financial Adviser for over 34 years, fully qualified to Diploma standard and able to advise on Investments and Retirement Planning. In addition he has specialist qualifications to advise on Equity Release and Long Term Care Planning.
As a registered Life Planner with the ‘Kinder Institute’ he fully understands that client’s wants, needs, goals and aspirations come first, not products.
David has owned and managed various Advisory practises throughout his career. Directors and SMEs along with their families have all benefited from his experienced planning.
David has two adult children and three grandchildren. In his spare time his passion is for Wildlife photography and as a long-time supporter of the RSPB, WWT, Hawk and Owl Trust and the International Otter Survival Fund (IOSF), the Shetland Isles is one of his favourite holiday destinations for capturing close up shots of otters and other Wildlife in their natural habitat.
Stephen Trenholm, Independent Financial Planner
Stephen Trenholm is a Financial Planner and we’re really pleased to welcome him to the Logic Wealth Planning team.
Stephen was born in Middlesborough and his first job saw him working for a logistics company, planning the most efficient and economic routes to enable the bulk transportation of large containers within the UK, Europe and beyond. Stephen quickly saw that careful planning was the key to doing this successfully and since he was soon something of an expert when it came to planning, he began to see that he could transfer those same planning skills to helping people and their finances.
As a result Stephen chose to become a qualified Financial Planner and has since experienced many years working in and around London, giving extensive help and advice to a wide spectrum of clients. Whilst this has very often involved working with people in retirement (or close to), Stephen has experienced an increased number of younger people – for example in the 25-40 year old bracket – also seeking his professional advice and guidance in areas such as pensions and investments, to help them to successfully manage and plan their financial matters for the future.
More recently Stephen took the decision to move back to the Manchester area for family reasons, joining Logic Wealth Planning as an Independent Financial Planner, and recently became a Chartered Member of the Institute of Financial Services, which is a ‘gold standard’ qualification for professional Financial Planners.
Aside from work, Stephen is a lifelong Middlesborough FC fan and he got married earlier this year to Lauren. In his younger years he played a guitar in several rock bands (or at least he says he ‘tried to’ !) and thinks that at some point in the future when time permits he may take up the guitar again. In the meantime Stephen has set himself the challenge of improving his Golfing skills. He recently enjoyed taking part in Logic’s Charity Golf Event at Rossendale and hopes to get more practice in during his spare time whenever he can.
Gary Banks, Mortgage Adviser
Gary has been a Mortgage Adviser since 1981 where he started his career with the Britannia Building Society in Oldham, moving on to manage branches in Poynton, Leigh, Colne and finally back to Oldham in 1991 as Branch Manager.
Gary joined Logic Wealth in 2007 as their primary Mortgage specialist. He is CeMap qualified and many clients have benefited from his wealth of knowledge of the industry.
Gary is married to Ann-Marie and has two adult children Jessica and Joseph. His hobbies include playing golf, going to the gym and listening to his vinyl collection whilst sipping on a glass of good red wine.
Alan Chiang, Operations Manager
Alan Chiang heads up our very busy Administration Team as Operations Manager.
Alan has extensive experience over many years, having worked for Barclays International for 6 years, dealing with FX and International payments/collections, and Tilney Investment Management (Deutsche Bank AG) in London for 18 years, dealing with the Private Wealth Clients (PWC) of the bank. Most recently he worked with a St. James’s Place Partner on the Wirral.
Alan was born in Patna, India. He is happily married to Diane and they have 5 cats. He’s an avid Tottenham Hotspur FC fan, an audiophile (loves expensive audio equipment) and a horophile (loves watches).
Lindsey Hoppley, Senior Administrator
We’re very pleased to welcome Lindsey Hoppley to our team as a Senior Administrator. Lindsey has extensive experience working both in the IFA and Corporate Finance sectors and is ideally qualified to work in our very busy Administration department. In this role Lindsey enjoys working closely with our Financial Advisers making sure that they are totally prepared for client meetings as well as ensuring that all subsequent business transactions are fully compliant with industry standards.
Lindsey lives locally in Heywood and her two teenage sons keep her very busy. In her spare time Lindsey loves travelling overseas, and will be enjoying Christmas in Mexico this year. Looking ahead to the future she plans to get married in the next couple of years and is currently researching several overseas destinations for the wedding.
Morgan Payne, Junior Administrator
Morgan Payne joined our company as part of an apprenticeship scheme, initially working as a Trainee Administrator. After studying Sports and Exercise Science at Leeds University, Morgan had already made the decision to change his career path and move into Financial Services, so in this Trainee role he worked closely with the team in our busy Administration Department in order to increase and develop his knowledge and experience of the way the business operates on a day to day basis. Morgan has made such excellent progress that he has now been promoted to Junior Administrator, taking him one step nearer to advancing his career towards eventually studying for a Para Planner or Adviser role.
Morgan lives in Heywood and is a life-long Manchester United fan and an impressive golfer, as well as being an experienced skier with great memories of ski-ing holidays in the French Alps. Back home Morgan enjoys socialising with friends and a typical weekend usually finds him enjoying the nightlife in Leeds. During the Summer months he also enjoys spending time at Festivals and he says that ParkLife and Leeds Festival are two of his favourites.
Jules Hornbrook, Social Media Editor
To keep pace with the growing use of on-line communication, Jules has joined our team to ensure that we develop and maintain a strong and easy to read presence on Social Media, whether its articles on financial topics or perhaps some news about the people in our team or a mention of something interesting happening in our community.
We think it’s really important that communication to our clients and the public remains fresh, regularly updated, interesting to read and importantly easy on the eye, and written in straight forward every-day language.
Jules brings his fantastic skills and many years’ experience as a creative writer to this role, and we are delighted to have him on board.

Gary Myers, Business Development Manager
We are delighted that Gary Myers has joined the team at Logic Wealth Planning, taking on the role of Business Development Manager. Gary has over 30 years experience within the Financial Services industry, with a successful track record in developing and growing professional relationships between providers of financial advice with other professional practices, in particular accountants, solicitors and insurance brokers.
Dee Summers, Marketing Manager
Dee joined Logic Wealth Planning as the Marketing Manager with responsibility for all corporate marketing, researching and planning campaigns, including the delivery and results for key strategic initiatives.
Dee has strong conceptual thinking, both visually and interactively and this has served the business very well as it continues to evolve within the market place. Dee has previously held posts as Marketing & Design Manager of an Electronics Company and Creative Director of a Wedding & Events Company. Dee lives with her long term partner and has one son. She runs a busy household and is a keen animal lover.
